Consultants and Mentors in World Class Manufacturing

Running Well?

I couldn’t help taking this extract from the Sunday Times 24/7/2011 which talked about tax efficiencies, however, I usually talk about Manufacturing Effectiveness, and how to maximise throughput  in manufacturing operations.

When I get inside companies who want to improve, the path is well established, and proven to yield significant results.

On the other hand, there are companies I have visited, who have so much potential, but who don’t see it, and I don’t see them again. I always hope they will go on and find someone that will help them realise their potential, but fear they won’t.

If they don’t go on, then I fear they will join the group of organisations that have contributed to the demise of British Manufacturing, not through tougher competition, but weaker and less open minded management. I wish I was a better door opener and salesman, but then I do so much enjoy being a hands on manufacturing performance improver.

Improvements can be made anywhere there is a will to improve. My track record shows that improvement is inevitable if you follow the process. Give it a go!

Grateful acknowledgement to the Sunday Times, Nina Montagu-Smith, Allexandra Goss and AWD Chase de Vere.
